I've been building hardwood furniture for decades, specializing in fireplace mantels and surrounds for over 20 years (Mantels Only is my shop at www.mantelsonly.com). My standard has always been to build pieces that I would proudly have in my home. Most of my work has been in walnut, white oak, cherry, mahogany, maple, hickory/pecan, and red oak. In the coming months, I expect to expand my product offerings to cover more brands and models.
